About Lars Thuesen


Lars has 20 years experience in leading and facilitating change primarily in the public sector in Denmark and internationally as a director, leader, senior government official and as a consultant. He is a very competent change leader, who enthusiastically creates common visions and strategies. He designs concrete and coherent projects and accomplishes common goals by sharing the visions and strategies, involving relevant stakeholders, and constantly adjusting means to ensure meaning and effective impact.


Lars has held positions as innovation director in the Danish Ministry of Justice, the department of Prisons and Probation, as senior consultant at Ernst and Young Management Consulting, as consultant at the National Association of National Authorities, and at the Danish Ministry of Finance. He has a M.Sc. in political science from Aarhus University and an executive M.Sc. in coaching and consulting for change from HEC and Oxford University.

In 2014 Lars Thuesen founded WIN – the Welfare Improvement Network. WIN is a consultancy network that helps organizations initiate and implement sustainable welfare solutions.
